I was very much delighted to be nominated by my teachers and I felt extraordinarily honoured to be elected as the Outstanding Student in Yau Tsim Mong District.

It is not easy to go through the entire election progress. I can still vividly remember the scene when I was walking towards the interview room: I was so nervous that my hands were sweating and shaking! Fortunately, the interviewers were all kind and the nice atmosphere in the interview room magically dispelled all my fear and worries. During the one-hour interview, I shared my ideas and thoughts as a youngster towards certain social phenomena. The interview was completely a carefree conversation and I could learn a lot from the feedbacks given by the interviewers. The hour I spent in the interview room was just like a sharing session but not a dreadful interview!

Other than receiving our trophies and certificates, we were assigned a very important task on the prize-giving ceremony: to participate in the preparation for the ceremony. I, accompanied by another girl from PLK Vicwood KT Chong Sixth Form College, took up the role as the master of ceremony. We cooperated in perfect harmony and I feel honoured to be able to stand on the stage and speak in front of over 300 people.

This election was such a once-in-a-lifetime chance for me to review myself and to learn from others. I also feel lucky to meet other Outstanding Students from different schools!

It is my pleasure to represent my school to join the Yau Tsim Mong District Outstanding Student Award Scheme organized by the Yau Tsim Mong District School Liaison Committee. I would like to express my sincere gratitude towards our Principal and my teachers for giving me this valuable opportunity to communicate with students from different schools to widen my horizons.
