The election season of the 28th Student Union commenced with dynamic energy on Promotion Day. To rally support and present their visions, each proposed cabinet showcased their manifestos through lively and creative performances, ranging from engaging mini-dramas to spirited dialogues. The enthusiastic audience gained a thorough understanding of each team’s aspirations, setting an inspiring and participatory tone for the upcoming election.
Following the promotional campaigns, the 28th Student Union Annual General Meeting cum Election Forum was successfully held on 29 September in the School Hall. The event commenced with the annual report delivered by the outgoing 27th Student Union Executive Committee, Concordia. The Election Forum then unfolded, featuring introductory platform speeches by the presidential candidates: WONG Yin-gi Elise (S.5B, Eunomia), LEE Lok-yin (S.5B, Elysium), and CHING Woon-yin (S.5A, Aeterna). Students actively voiced questions during the Floor Question Session, which was followed by an intense Cross-Examination Session where cabinets exchanged views on campus initiatives before concluding with summarizing remarks.
On 6 October, following the campus-wide polling, Cabinet 3, Aeterna, secured more than 50% of the valid votes. The 28th Student Union Executive Committee, Aeterna, officially assumed office during the Inauguration Ceremony on 9 October. We extend our warmest congratulations to Aeterna and eagerly anticipate their dedicated service, leadership, and upcoming student endeavors in the year ahead.
