From July 29 to 31, 2026, I traveled to Nansha Port, Guangzhou, to participate in the three-day ¡¥¡¥2026 Olympism Camp¡¦¡¦, organized by the Sports Federation & Olympic Committee of Hong Kong, China. Centered on the Olympic spirit, teamwork, and cross-border youth exchange, this unforgettable journey proved to be a deeply rewarding experience of personal growth and inspiration.

On the first morning, I met the group at the China¡VHong Kong Ferry Terminal and took a direct ferry to Nansha Port. After we settled in, icebreaker games brought us all together, making it easy to connect with campers from Guangdong and Macao. The afternoon¡¦s opening ceremony was formal yet lively, followed by an unforgettable speech by Olympic champion SUI Wenjing on ¡¥¡¥The Olympics and Me¡¦¡¦. She opened up about her journey from daily training to winning gold, and how she stayed true to sportsmanship when facing controversy. Her real-life stories moved me deeply and broadened my perspective on fair play and perseverance. Later, we drew lots for group discussions on Olympic topics; my team dived into a spirited debate on the importance of sports gear, which sparked a lot of fresh insights.

The second day was all about testing our physical limits and courage. In the morning, we built makeshift shelters to simulate flood relief in Guangxi. Using limited materials, we put together improvised structures and tested their durability with water balloons. My teammates and I kept reinforcing the structure, and although we were drenched in water, our ¡¥fortress¡¦ stood firm to a big round of applause. After that, we tried pickleball, a fast-growing sport that combines elements of tennis, badminton, and table tennis. Through the fast-paced rallies, I fully enjoyed its unique charm. In the afternoon, we took on the high-ropes course at Nansha Bay Jungle Leap. As I glided from platform to platform above the trees, each ride helped me conquer my fear. That evening, we presented our Day 1 topic through a creative drama and were thrilled to win the ¡¥¡¥Best Progress Award¡¦¡¦ during the ceremony.

On the final day, an orienteering challenge sent us racing across Nansha using maps and clues to test our physical endurance and quick decision-making. After lunch and a heartfelt closing ceremony, I received my certificate. Reluctant to leave, we boarded the ferry back to Hong Kong. As we arrived at the terminal, I couldn¡¦t help glancing back toward Nansha Port. Starting this journey on my own not only brought me like-minded friends, but also taught me that the Olympic spirit belongs not only to champions on the field, but to every ordinary person who dares to challenge themselves. Thanks to the thoughtful organization of the Sports Federation & Olympic Committee of Hong Kong, China, this experience will continue to inspire me in my studies and life, as I strive to live out the spirit of ¡§Faster, Higher, Stronger ¡X Together.¡¨
