We are proud to share that WONG Pak Kit of 4D has been selected as one of only 30 students across Hong Kong to join the Young Astronaut Training Camp 2026. On July 16, Pak Kit attended the official Send-off Ceremony at the Hong Kong Science Museum, marking the commencement of this elite training program.

The selection process was exceptionally competitive, drawing nearly 200 nominees from over 110 secondary schools. Pak Kit successfully advanced through three rigorous phases: a demanding space science and astronomy written examination, a three-day physical endurance and teamwork camp, and a final interview panel. This prestigious selection is a direct reflection of their academic merit and passion for physics and aerospace science.

From July 23 to 31, the student delegation will embark on an intensive educational journey across Beijing, Jiuquan, and Xi'an, visiting key national aerospace and astronomical research installations. They will study aerospace medicine, astronaut training, satellite launch operations, advanced rocket propulsion engineering, and front-end astronomical observation.

At the ceremony, Chief Secretary for Administration Mr. Chan Kwok-ki highlighted the milestone selection of Dr. Lai Ka-ying, Hong Kong's first payload specialist chosen for the Shenzhou-23 mission. He urged the student cohort to utilize this invaluable training to prepare themselves to contribute to the nation's scientific and aerospace achievements.
