Four of our Secondary 4 students recently participated in the " Building the Future: Robotics for the International Lunar Research Station" competition. Demonstrating exceptional innovative thinking and cutting-edge tech integration,Chung Pui Chi (4A) and Wong Hoi Ching (4C) stood out from the fierce competition and won the Most Innovative AI Award". Meanwhile, O Man Yi Hailey (4A) and Cheung King Ho (4A) also delivered outstanding performances, together bringing great honour to our school.

The competition aimed to ignite students' interest in aerospace technology and encourage them to utilize modern technology to solve future challenges in lunar exploration. Throughout the creative process, our students boldly broke away from traditional design frameworks, seamlessly blending Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology with 3D modelling.

They began by hand-drawing 2D design sketches of their robot, then flexibly applied AI tools to precisely transform these 2D flat drawings into dimensional 3D conceptual images. Next, the students built detailed models using the professional 3D software Blender, and further utilized AI to paint textures and colour the models, meticulously bringing out the mechanical structure and realistic appearance of the robots. Finally, they combined AI video generation technology to breathe dynamic life into their 3D models, simulating realistic scenes of the robots executing missions on the lunar surface.

This innovative workflow deeply integrates artistic creativity with cutting-edge technology, earning high praise from the judging panel. This award recognizes the students' relentless efforts and highlights our school's fruitful achievements in promoting STEAM education. The participating students expressed that the experience was highly inspiring, as it enhanced their practical skills in transforming creative ideas into technical solutions while broadening their imagination regarding future technology applications.
