Yau Tsim Mong District School Liaison Committee Annual Prize Presentation Ceremony was successfully held on 24 June 2017. Yim Yuen Yan of 5D was awarded the Yau Tsim Mong District Outstanding Student (Gold Prize) for her excellent performance in academic studies, extra-curricular activities as well as community services.

In the selection interview, candidates were required to answer questions about social issues. For instance, they had to give concrete measures to tackle problems on teenage mental health, and comment on the cultural development in Hong Kong. They had to apply the knowledge they had learnt through daily observations of the world around them, as well as local and international news.

Through the interview, Yuen Yan realized it is her responsibility to develop a thorough understanding of the community. The interview has also aroused her curiosity about intense and deep-rooted conflicts between countries.
