Queen Elizabeth School

Our School was founded in 1954 as the first government co-educational Anglo-Chinese secondary school in Hong Kong. The idea of Queen Elizabeth School was first conceived in 1953, the same year that the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II took place. The school was established in September 1954 and was operated as an afternoon school in the premises of King's College prior to the completion of its present building which was officially opened in October 1955.
